Responsibilities included teaching in the general area of heat transfer, thermodynamics, energy systems, biomedical engineering, and solid waste processing; funded research, curriculum and laboratory development; student advising; academic committee work; service to industry and governmental agencies; consulting to industry, legal profession, governments, and international organizations.

1986 – Present Established The Trezek Group, Inc., Danville, California

Provides consulting services to industry and governmental agencies.

Developed remediation projects and technology, processing systems, constructed and managed remediation plants/projects.  Responsible for laboratory and pilot plant development and development of BDAT technology.

Developed and implemented programs for entry into solid waste recycling.  Responsible for facilities design and implementation of wood and yard waste processing, material recovery facility, post-consumer film plastic recycling.

Provides consulting services to industrial clients and legal profession.  Major activities include developing technology and assisting in its commercialization, systems analysis, and evaluation, implementing start-up operations, project management, forensic investigations regarding thermal and combustion systems and failures, environmental matters including chemical and biological agents, patent evaluation/infringement, selected accident reconstruction.

1997 – 2004 The Trezek Group – Contractor to Bio-Mass Systems, Inc., San Leandro, California
Technology and Commercial System Development

Responsible for developing technology and systems for the conversion of cellulosic waste streams into ethanol utilizing microorganisms.  Feedstocks included municipal solid waste, waste paper, agricultural crop waste, sugarcane, etc.  Activities included establishing bench and small pilot scale systems, assembling professional staff of microbiologists and engineers, aerobic and anaerobic organism cultures and preservation, analytic modeling, and gasification for conversion of carbon monoxide into acetic acid (see Expanded Description).

1998 – 2005 The Trezek Group – Contractor to Triodyne, Inc., Northbrook, Illinois.

Responsibilities included working with Triodyne’s legal profession clients by providing forensic investigations on cases involving thermal systems, combustion, heat and mass transfer, environmental matters, patent evaluation/infringement, regulatory compliance, and selected accident reconstruction.  Activities include file review, report preparation, deposition and trial testimony.
